One week down

Well, it has been almost a week since I posted new pictures. He is doing well as is his mom. We took a few pictures of him sleeping in his swing. We are trying to get him in all of his newborn outfits at least once before he grows out of them. He is helping us out though, by peeing all over the place when he is getting changed. He usually pees every diaper change and has pretty good aim. His mom and grandma also found out that his pee isn't the only thing he can get you with.

And some more

Here are the last of the pictures I have on my camera. Can you believe he already sucks his thumb?

More pictures

I have had requests to put up more pictures of Charles right after he was born. So here they are.

This picture is a little easier to see. I don't think I used the flash in the other one.

Day Two

Tracy and Charles spent all day Friday in the Hospital, but get to come home today (8/25). We decided to take some pictures of him sleeping because he looks so peaceful.

The Waiting Game is Over

Charles Francis Bacchus has arrived. Tracy's water broke yesterday (8/23) at around 2:30 pm and was at the hospital by 3:00. After suffering through some contractions, she finally convinced the nurse to get the anesthesiologist so she could have an epidural. At that time she was dialated to an 8, and by the time he was done she was at a 10 and ready to go. So she pushed for about 45 minutes and at 5:44 pm, Charles was born. He was 9lbs, and 19.5" long. Kind of short and chunky. His face is a little swollen from being in the birth canal for so long, but he does have a lot of hair. Both Tracy and Charles are doing great. I am very proud of how well Tracy did through the whole thing, she was very strong. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures. I will put up some more in the next few days.

The waiting game

Here are pictures of me today. I know I am looking pretty good. Yes, those are my fat feet, but aren't the purple toes cute? I am now at the point where I'm pretty much all ready to go, I just have to wait for Charles. Chad starts year two of law school this Monday while I start my maternity leave on Monday. We'll see if I have to wait all the way to August 28th for Charles to make his big entrance.
