Swimming and Moving

Before I get to Hooch's swimming adventures, I will tell you about our move. Well, we haven't moved yet, but we will be moving in August. Tracy received a job offer (from the same company she already works for) to move to the Roseville office. She will be the main audiologist for the 3 doctors at that office. I am really excited for her, though she is a little nervous about the change. She will be great.
Back to the main focus of the blog, Hooch. It has been hot here and so we put up the baby pirate ship pool in the backyard. Hooch hasn't really been a fan the few times we put him in, but if someone else is in with him he is okay.
Here is Hooch, Landon, and Grandma in the Pirate ship. I think the ship's name is The Scurvy Dog.

We also went to Aunt Andi's new house for Jill's 1st Birthday. Hooch seemed to enjoy the big pool a little more than the Survy Dog.

Here is Hooch and Aunt Samerz going to the deep end.
Hooch drying off with Grandma waiting for the hamburgers.

After dinner Hooch went back into the pool with his mom. He wanted to get used to it before he got back in.

Kicking his feet, this is his favorite thing to do in the bathtub.

We weren't sure if he would like floating around in this floatation device, but he seemed to like having his legs in the water.

He would kick his feet under the water to get himself to the other side of the pool.

Disneyland

My sister, Breanna, and my nephew, Landon, came to visit for a few weeks. So, my mom, Breanna, Landon, Tracy, and Hooch went to Disneyland. It was Landon and Hooch's first trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. Tracy was a little worried about Hooch because he is a little young and she didn't know how he would like sitting in his stroller all day. He had also been a little sick the week prior to the trip. However, from the post-trip report it sounds like everyone had a good time.

Here is Hooch and his mom. Hooch forgot to bring his hat, so his mom bought him a new one.

Here is Hooch getting ready for the Nemo submarine ride to start.

Hooch at someone's house in Toon Town. I think this was Mickey's house. Oh, and as you can see from this picture, Hooch likes to pull himself up to the standing position.

Hooch waiting for the parade to start.

Hooch in his stroller, looks like he is getting sleepy.

Hooch and Grandma on the Jungle Cruise. This was his favorite ride, he especially loved the Hippos.

They all went to the Playhouse Disney show at California Adventure. Hooch enjoys Playhouse Disney and supposedly enjoyed this show. Here is Tracy's favorite character, Handy Manny (or as she likes to say, Handy Mandy).

Hooch waiting for yet another parade.

Hooch and his mom on the carousel.

Every once in awhile Hooch likes to kick back and put his feet up.

Of course, it isn't long before the relaxed position leads to a nap.

And more naps.

On their way out on the last day Tracy needed to get her picture in front of the entrance. Yes, Hooch is in this picture, can't you see his legs? He was tired.

Memorial Day Weekend - Santa Cruz

Though this post is a little late, good things come to those who wait. Every year our families go to Santa Cruz to camp and spend some time together. This was Hooch's first camping trip, and despite some rough nights, he seemed to enjoy himself. We aren't quite so good at taking a lot of pictures like most parents seem to do with their first child, but we are trying.

Hooch and his dad in the hammock. Yes, that is a high quality hand made Brazilian hammock.

Hooch wasn't as interested in the true purpose of the hammock, which is to sleep in it, as he was in his mom who was taking the picture. At least he seems happy.

We also went to the beach, though the weather didn't cooperate. We decided that we would take a walk to the pier. It was a little too windy for Hooch.

Hooch's mom had dreams of her and Hooch taking a nap in the tent. That didn't go too well. He is too excited to sleep.

Here is Hooch wondering what his mom is doing.

I think this is a funny picture of Hooch. He likes to suck on his bottom lip and make funny faces at us.

I think this is the most time Hooch spent in the port-a-crib. He spent most of his nights taking up all the room on the air mattress. You wouldn't think something that small would require so much room. But he likes his space.

Trip to the Zoo

This post is a little late, but we thought we would share Hooch's first zoo experience. Grandma Bacchus took him to the Sacramento Zoo during her Spring Break in March. I guess he liked it okay, though he didn't really know what to think about all the animals.

He was a little apprehensive at first. He didn't know what he was supposed to do in this yellow contraption.

He started to warm up after awhile.

He didn't feel like taking a picture with the giraffe.

By the end of the day he was ready for a nap.
