Pumpkins and Faux Hawks

A couple weekends ago we went to a pumpkin patch in Wilton with the Busaths. Charles had a good time walking around and looking at all the pumpkins and animals. He doesn't really like to stay in a stroller, so having all that freedom to walk was a special treat for him.

He sometimes gets a little distracted from the main goal. Here he is examining a leaf. He decided that this leaf was going to be his friend for awhile. He held on to it, or at least part of it for about 15 minutes.

Hooch did decide that he would take a short ride in one of the pumpkin wagons.

Here is the better of our family pictures. It is a rare occasion to get anyone other than Hooch on the blog.

There was also a rare Hooch goat sighting. It is a pretty special day when one of these comes out to play.

Perhaps even more rare is to see a Hooch mom cow. Look, even the Hooch goat can't believe that he is seeing a Hooch mom cow.

Hooch finally remembered what the ultimate goal of the day was; to find a pumpkin. He almost got this one off the ground . . .

but in the end decided that he had better find one more his size.

Apple Hill

Okay so we went to Apple Hill almost two weeks ago, but better late than never. If you read our blog you should probably be used to this by now. Two weeks late isn't that bad for us. Apple Hill was a lot of fun even if it was rainy. We bought some fudge/caramel covered apples, some fudge/caramel covered marshmallows and a crumb apple pie. It was worth the trip; always is. First you have Charles "helping" me get ready in the bathroom.

Charles is outside waiting for Grandma and Grandpa Bacchus to come out of Sam's Club so we can head up to Apple Hill.

Favorite Show Ever

I love the TV show Bones. It is the only show I really follow. Watching it makes me so happy. It is everything you want from a TV show. It is interesting and funny. I like that I can't always guess what is going to happen and I am a really good guesser. It is on Wednesday nights on Fox. Time may vary with your location, but it is on at 8 p.m. in California. I have two warnings. One, you will see some corpses and two if you watch one episode you'll be hooked. Ask Andi. The blog title will take you to the Bones website.

Its Party Time

Hooch turned 1 last Saturday (the 23rd) and we celebrated with a birthday extravaganza. It was a mild Handy Manny theme. Thus, the birthday cake is shaped as a nut (that's a nut as in nuts and bolts). We made chicken enchiladas as the dinner, and Hooch's mom made an appearance as Handy Manny (sorry, no pictures until we fix the red eye issues). Andi was nice enough to let us have the party at her house and so we took advantage of the pool. We had a good time and Hooch got a lot of presents. He has since decided to start walking. I am in the process of getting the video uploaded.

My baby turned one.

Yesterday was very bittersweet. Charles turned one. I love the baby he is now but the past year was the fastest of my life. Here is a little shout-out to Charles Francis Bacchus with a few pictures of the early months. Mom and Dad love you!
